Abstract:
The Union of European Football Associations is currently reviewing the away goals rule in extra time in the Champions League play-offs. The results show that the away goals rule evens out the competitive imbalance caused by home field advantage in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, and that in the Round of 16, weaker teams must play first at home and then away to benefit from away goals. rule in extra time.
