Abstract:
The article analyzes the role of investor characteristics in the initial placement of coins. Based on signal theory as well as resource analysis, empirical research has shown that venture capitalists as well as corporate venture capitalists have a significant positive impact on initial coin offerings. In addition, reputation, turnaround times, and investor specialization were found to have a positive effect on the initial coin offering.
