Abstract:
Studies highlight that mental number line estimation is the most important element explaining the influence of mental rotation on arithmetic ability among young children. This study aims to confirm or refute this conclusion by independently investigating the role of mental number line estimation in the relationship between mental rotation and whole-number computation abilities.
