Abstract:
This study explores the race-related outcomes of learners in a school setting through the perspective of attachment theory. Investigating the attachment-racism linkages in children and adolescents, we examine the consequences of attachment avoidance for the development of racist behaviors. In addition, we investigate the protective role of attachment security. The paper also provides attachment-based strategies for preventing and mitigating racism among children in school.
