Abstract:
This study estimates the potential of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) analysis for the early detection of antibiotic-resistant E. coli, responsible for urinary tract infections. We investigate the effect of the presence of cephalosporin antibiotics on the VOC profile of E. coli strains.
