Abstract:
The article explores the discursive constructions of corporate volunteering (CV) in three countries. Based on an analysis of 29 qualitative interviews with employees working in small and medium-sized companies in Denmark, Slovenia and the United States, we explore various discursive features of the embedded nature of resumes in the broader context of corporate social responsibility (CSR). The results show that different CSR orientations inform and shape the ways in which participants operating in the three countries construct CV as an active, reactive, or proactive corporate practice.
