Abstract:
The article provides evidence for the need for further action to support and implement measures that prioritize active modes of travel. The growing importance of managing mobility in a variety of contexts indicates the need for further exploration of new initiatives as well as monitoring of existing plans. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted not only the need for further efforts to decarbonize our transportation systems, but also the resilience and adaptability of the human population to create the necessary conditions.
