Abstract:
The article examines the problems with patents and identifies the factors that are associated with successful patent applicants within the patent communication system. The results show that only 39 active ingredients were contested by 77 manufacturers from March 20XX to December 20XX. Of the 171 manufacturers, 94 (55%) did not challenge patents, 58 (34%) were passive applicants who successfully challenged fewer than 4 patents, and 19 (11%) were aggressive applicants who succeeded in 4 or more patent challenges.
