Abstract:
The article analyzes the problem of interrelation between technologies and gender under the influence of active entry of new technologies into everyday life. The research methodology is based on ethnographic field studies of interactions between households, technology and technicians and interviews with sales technicians, installers and service technicians. The results show that recognizing the role of maintainability and the rebuilding of the user-technology relationship in current energy transitions opens up avenues not only for exploring gender in new and exciting ways in relation to technology, but also for the technician-user relationship.
