Abstract:
Usage of non-renewable resources for power generation is expensive and less reliable. If focus is on a single source of renewable energy then the statement stands true. Studies however, shows if two or more renewable energies are used together in hybrid mode, system becomes efficient. An interesting match was noticed between solar thermal and geothermal. The present study discusses the performance of these systems under a wide variety of circumstances caused by diurnal and seasonal fluctuations.
