Abstract:
As the popularity of esports and gaming grows, universities may experience a strong need to exploit this form of competition to meet consumer and market demands. This study aims to determine the current state and role of esports and competitive gaming in higher education. We also discuss challenges and trends in the said field and identity future avenues for the implementation of esports within university walls.
