Abstract:
The phenomenon of “disappearing states” implies serious legal challenges to the law of the sea, international law and their perceived universality. In particular, it examines the impact of sea level rise on the maritime boundaries of endangered island states, in addition to the feasibility of proposed physical conservation options.
