Abstract:
The price reduction strategy may not be effective if applied at the wrong time and to the wrong item. Exploring the relationship between the rate of sales and price reduction announcements, we found that special deals are sometimes ignored. Hence, we aim to determine which categories of consumers tend to ignore discounts and why and to find ways how to encourage them.
