Abstract:
Focusing on home and school contexts, this study aims to determine what affects the development of math anxiety in students. For this, we examined the role of control and value appraisals in this process, and how these three constructs co-develop in relation to characteristics of home and school contexts. In addition, we used our findings to develop a framework for reducing/preventing math anxiety in students.
