Abstract:
The present study explores how dietary self-monitoring via specially designed smartphone apps alters eating and body image-related cognitions and behaviours. The positive and negative effects were discussed. The paper suggests that the use of nutrition-related mobile apps should be monitored to avoid possible harmful side effects.
