Abstract:
In this study, we discuss the causes of false-negative (FN) results of rapid malaria tests with a focus on low parasite density, improper rapid diagnostic test (RDT) storage, operation and interpretation. The results demonstrated that the malaria RDTs currently commercially available might cause FN results in practice.
