Abstract:
Through multiple linear regression analysis, and using the proportion of days covered measure, we investigate the LDL-c response to statins in first-time female and male statin users. The results reveal a significant association between LDL-c response, statin adherence and gender. LDL-c response to statins at follow-up. For instance, women seem to experience a better LDL-c response than men at a similar adherence level.
