Abstract:
We investigate the problem of postsurgical pain in patients who underwent orthopaedic surgery. Through interviews, we examine patient opinions on the pain-easing procedures applied in the healthcare facilities they were operated in. According to the responses, patients view the responsible doctors as disingenuine and the postoperative period as diffcult to bear due to the accompanying pain, which the doctors refuse to address properly.
