Abstract:
This study investigates the thresholds for synovial white blood cell (WBC) count in the two-stage knee reimplantation and highlights the most appropriate cutt-off values in terms of accuracy. For this, WBC counts from patients with persistent or recurrent periprosthetic infection were compared with those who were believed to be free of the said condition. Thresholds with the highest predictive value were deemed the best.
