Abstract:
This paper investigates the association of teach-back with patient understanding, self-efficacy, and satisfaction. The study has a comparative design and uses an interview method to determine the presence and characteristics of employed teach-back. Teach-back was associated with higher patient self-efficacy and better patient understanding of the reason for the treatment plan.
