Abstract:
The developed model of diffusion-limited and diffusionless solidification of a eutectic alloy describes the relation “undercooling-velocity-interlamellar spacing” for two cases. New expressions for the solute distribution coefficient and slope of the liquidus lines are supplied. The influence of the model parameters on the growth kinetics during eutectic solidification is discussed.
