Abstract:
This issue contains 61 conference papers on ceramic materials research. The papers in this volume are divided into the themes corresponding to the seven sessions at the meeting. These themes include: fabrication; characterization; application and properties of ceramics for electronics; powders and raw materials; superconductors; engineering ceramics; and innovation in traditional ceramics. The indications of significant progress which could be seen in the papers presented at the meeting, coupled with the recognition that considerable problems still lie between the state of the art and achieving full and confident exploitation of the man merits of ceramics, provide a basis for the profitable selection of future research directions. All papers are indexed and abstracted separately.
