Abstract:
Considering transportation planning, the paper focuses on the relationship between operational management of transportation planning optimization and revenue management of optimization of a service portfolio. This study examines the recently gaining attention to the concept of synchromodal transport. Part of the study addresses issues related to the categories of problems with heterogeneous demand in the two classes of demand for intermodal inland transport. The practical significance of the study assumes not only the possibility of increasing the carriers income by maximizing sales, but also increasing the use of its assets through the use of planning flexibility.
