Abstract:
The study is devoted to the study of a multipurpose discrete firefly algorithm in order to solve the problem of flexible scheduling of production facilities. Testing of heuristic algorithms is carried out mainly on various sets of objective functions that are recognized in certain scientific communities, and
is to assess the effectiveness of finding a solution. The study presents a model through which customers can customize their orders by choosing between some suitable product characteristics, which are considered different manufacturing operations. The research results show that the presented algorithm is a promising tool for flexible planning solutions in production processes.
