Abstract:
Product packaging is an important element in the supply chain. The concept of sustainable packaging is associated with the increased use of life cycle inventory and product life cycle assessment, reducing environmental impact and ecological footprint. The study explores a methodology that should benefit decision making in packaging system design in order to reduce overall costs and increase sustainability. To this end, the work is conducting qualitative and quantitative research to develop approaches that will make it possible to identify, compare and select an effective range of packaging designs in terms of their effectiveness and compliance with the SDGs.
