Abstract:
A study of the national Chinese animation style, formed in the mid-60s, indicates that they are stylistically closer to the ancient frescoes of Dunhuang, and not to the artistic style of traditional Peking opera. Chinese animation indicates a relatively weak relationship with traditional painting techniques, as previously thought. The study of the complex mediated connection of the cultural heritage of Dunhuang frescoes with modern animation, the transformation of the fresco into a two-dimensional image shows the paths of cultural and historical continuity and demonstrates the roots of Chinese graphic and industrial design.
