Abstract:
The study focused on the attendance of the performing arts in Taiwan. For the study, data obtained from the national attendance survey are used. The categories covered are music, dance, drama and traditional national theater. Methodologically, the study relies on an econometric type of model and explores the determinants for attendance in all arts. Multinominal logistic regression is applied to determine the factors of a participants decision to visit, which makes it possible to segment audiences. Differences were found between audiences of different types of arts and correlative relationships between each separate two types were studied and are positive.
