Abstract:
The traditional concept of the classroom as a specific safe space is no longer enough. The experience of violence and shooting in schools and pandemics have demonstrated the limited capacity to ensure security. Modern teaching encompasses many values and a variety of perspectives, and therefore rethinking the classroom as a negotiating space is proposed. Reforming the police and tackling institutional racism is also changing the perception of safety in the classroom. Implementing classroom negotiation space requires a range of inclusiveness strategies.
