Abstract:
The article discusses the role of accounting in the changes that the public housing sector has undergone in Sweden. The results show that differing understandings of the future can either (1) justify moving residential properties into an uncountable realm to secure political control, or (2) lead to a cross-calculation based on perceived future increases in the value of commercial investments.
