Abstract:
This study questions the relationship between firms innovation strategies and risk preference, especially for small firms in the early stages of their business. The results show that levels of risk aversion by small firms respond differently to investment in innovation and the recruitment of skilled labor by adopting a comprehensive start-up dataset from a science park in Beijing, China.
