Abstract:
The article discusses how the Latin American view of communication is closely related to the experience of mass communication, since it cannot be considered separately from the social and political experience and the popular actor who implements it. The article also highlights how the communal and popular process of communication in Latin America is marked by Christian practices supported by liberation theology in its various meanings, as well as by grassroots church communities.
