Abstract:
The study examined under what conditions entrepreneurial intentions are transformed into entrepreneurial actions in the context of a family firm. Although entrepreneurial intentions are often a good indicator of entrepreneurial activity, intentions do not always lead to the expected action. The results support the argument that the propensity to bifurcate in family firms hinders the smooth transition of entrepreneurial intentions into entrepreneurial actions.
