Abstract:
The article analyzes the impact of oil and gas price fluctuations on the activities of banks in the main GCC oil and gas exporting countries using data for the period 20XX–20XX. The results show that rising oil and gas prices have a direct impact on banking activities through the channel of price-driven bank deposits and related business lending.
