Abstract:
The article examines whether institutional pressures in countries of origin and host countries affect the corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices of subsidiaries of multinational enterprises (MNEs) and whether institutional distance between countries of origin and host countries weakens these relationships. The results show that institutional pressures in both home and host countries significantly affect the CSR practices of subsidiaries of multinational companies operating in host countries.
