Abstract:
The article contributes to a sparse study of the impact of familial involvement in TMT by analyzing the moderating effect of two differences on the relationship between institutional networks and the rate of internationalization: the relationship of familial TMT and generational involvement. The results show that institutional networks play an important role in explaining the rate of internationalization of family firms, and that this relationship is weaker when most family members work as top managers.
