Abstract:
The article examines the degree of technological diversity in European regions, focusing on two main drivers: the regional ability to receive funding under the 7th Framework Program and the degree of centrality of the regional network in collaborative research. The results support the hypothesis that regional ability to access European funding and be at the center of cooperation networks contributes to technological diversity in European regions.
