Abstract:
The article explores whether urban segregation is associated with social capital and, in particular, whether the socio-economic level, measured by the neighborhood of origin, influences the formation of reciprocity. The results provide strong evidence that individuals with higher socioeconomic levels are more likely to encourage higher levels of trust compared to participants with lower socioeconomic levels.
