Abstract:
This article makes three contributions: we provide an axiomatic justification for value; show a simple formula for its calculation; and extend the meaning - its definition, axiomatic characterization and calculation formula - to Bayesian games. We then apply value in simple models of corruption, oligopolistic competition, and information sharing.
