Abstract:
The article examines the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on the risk and return of stock markets in developing and developed countries. The results show that there is portfolio diversification that could be gained by investing in both emerging and developed equity markets during the post-COVID-19 stock market downturn.
