Abstract:
The article presents a before and after assessment of an urban gardening scenario to address the negative effects of commodity distribution in cities. The baseline scenario for the existing food system is compared with a proposed scenario, adapted to local production and consumption, using the example of Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
