Abstract:
The article explored green chemistry, which is almost three decades old, since the term was coined with 12 principles that provided for the minimum risk as a measure of effectiveness when creating new chemical methods; particular attention is paid to relatively cleaner processes as alternatives to conventional chemical synthesis and transformation are being explored. The closely related and often misused term “sustainable development” has become a priority agenda for private companies and governments around the world.
Keywords:
green chemistry; chemical synthesis
