Abstract:
The article examines the features of a green solvent. A critical review of published materials shows that few new materials have found widespread use as solvents. Finding solvents with less impact is ineffective if done without due consideration, even at the research stage, of the specific circumstances under which solvents are to be used on an industrial scale.
