Abstract:
The article analyzes how the inflationary environment in which the oil price shock occurs affects its transmission. The results show that the inflationary environment is a determining factor in how oil supply shocks and oil demand shocks are transmitted to inflation, with positive shocks showing higher transmission in a high inflation environment.
