Abstract:
The article permeated a two-country model to test whether borderline carbon adjustments (BCAs) are more effective than an emissions tax alone in preventing carbon leakage and reducing global emissions at endogenous assemblies. The results show that the effectiveness of BCA depends on whether the BCA induces displacement of the assembly.
