Abstract:
The article analyzes the attitude of US immigrants to health. The methodology is based on national health surveys. The results show that for all health indicators, there are important differences between arriving immigrants and indigenous people. Despite some heterogeneity in the dynamics of unhealthy behavior, this heterogeneity seems to disappear as we investigate long-term health outcomes.
