Abstract:
The article explores the impact of containerization on the local economy. Containerization is based on a simple idea: packing goods for water transport in a standardized container makes their transportation much cheaper. Analyzed a new cost reduction tool - port depth pre-containerization - to combat the non-random implementation of port containerization.
