Abstract:
The article analyzes the problem of bilateral trade between the two countries. The methodology is based on the Engle-Granger Joint Integration Analysis method to assess whether Chinas exports to Ethiopia have resulted in FDI flows from China to Ethiopia in the long term. The results show that bilateral trade (imports from China) is the main driver of Chinese FDI inflows to Ethiopia over the study period.
