Abstract:
The article analyzes how the different degrees of deprivation of displaced persons affect their expectations of peace and violence in post-conflict societies. A new explanation was developed and empirically studied using data from a survey collected in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 20XX. Displaced persons may suffer because they become targets of hostility from opposing groups and / or because they do not receive sufficient support or mistreatment from their own groups and international actors. As a result, they develop a negative opinion of these participants, both friends and enemies, they become pessimistic about the possibility of cooperation and consider the post-conflict world unstable.
