Abstract:
COVID-19 poses new challenges for policymakers around the world to take appropriate measures to stabilize incomes. The article proposes a new method for assessing the distributional impact of macroeconomic shocks and policy responses in real time. The essence of the approach is a combination of various economic models calculated on the basis of data at the level of companies and households. The results show that as of September 20XX, the COVID-19 shock is translating into a marked reduction in gross labor income across the entire income distribution.
