Abstract:
The original study goal is to assess energy poverty and investigate the effect of a CO2 tax on the development and operation of Chinas power generation systems in the future. Modeling was done using scenarios that are associated with various uncertainties in the energy sector. The study looked at how a CO2 tax would affect low-income households. The study compared the effects of different CO2 tax rates in China on the baseline electricity system project.
